Process Group Therapy
Becoming a parent changes everything. Not just your schedule or your responsibilities, but who you are. You might feel like you’re losing yourself in the role of “mom” or “dad.” Your relationship with your partner shifts in ways you didn’t expect. The intimacy, the spontaneity, even the simple conversations, they all get harder. You look around and wonder: Does anyone else feel this isolated? This exhausted? This unsure of who they’re becoming?
And there are other struggles too. Maybe you’re navigating infertility and the profound grief that comes with it. Maybe you’re feeling the weight of societal expectations about what a “good parent” should be. Maybe you’re mourning the version of yourself you were before, or struggling to recognize the person staring back at you in the mirror. These are not just logistical challenges. They’re existential ones, questions about identity, meaning, connection, and how to live authentically in a life that’s been turned upside down.
A Space for Deep Work
This process group creates space to explore these questions with others who understand what it means to navigate profound life transitions. While this group welcomes anyone grappling with existential questions about who they’re becoming, we know that parenthood is one of the most transformative experiences a person can face.
Here, you’re not just a parent. You’re a whole person learning to show up authentically in relationship, discovering yourself through genuine connection with others, and practicing new ways of being before taking them into your everyday life.
What is a Process Group?
A process group focuses on what’s happening here and now, between people in the room. You’ll learn about yourself by noticing how you show up with others, what patterns emerge, and how others experience you. It’s not about advice or fixing problems. It’s about genuine encounter, experimenting with new ways of being, and discovering yourself through relationship.
This is a playground where you can know yourself through others. We often think we know ourselves through reflection alone, but we discover who we are most vividly in relationship, especially with people who trigger us, challenge us, teach us something new about how we want to be.
