Process Group – January 2026

Process Group Therapy – January 30, 2026

Life doesn’t wait. You’re already in it, making choices, building relationships, becoming someone. But if you had one week left to live, would you show up differently? Would you let yourself be more transparent with how you actually feel and think? Or would you still play the roles you’re so used to: the peacemaker, the caretaker, the one who always points things out? Would you tell people how much they’ve impacted you? Would you want to know the mark you’ve left on others? Would you finally address those unfinished conversations, those things left unsaid?

The truth is, you don’t need to wait until the end to practice living this way. This process group is a playground, a space where you can truly know yourself through others. We often think we know ourselves through reflection alone, but we discover who we are most vividly in relationship, especially with people who trigger us, challenge us, teach us something new about how we want to be. Out there, it feels too risky to experiment, to be different. Here, you can explore new ways of showing up, test what happens when you’re more honest, and learn about yourself through real interaction.

What is a Process Group?

A process group is different from traditional group therapy. Instead of focusing on solving specific problems or learning techniques, a process group focuses on the here and now, what’s happening between people in the room, in real time.

In this group, the relationships you form with other members become the primary vehicle for growth and self-discovery. You’ll learn about yourself by noticing:

  • How you show up with others
  • What patterns emerge in your relationships
  • What you avoid, what you reach for
  • How others experience you
  • What gets triggered and why

The group becomes a microcosm of your life outside, a place where your relational patterns naturally emerge, but in a safer container where you can examine them, try new approaches, and receive honest feedback.

What to Expect

Each session creates space for authentic relating and self-discovery. There’s no set agenda. Instead, we follow what emerges naturally in the group.

You might:

  • Share what’s alive for you in the moment
  • Notice and name what’s happening between you and others
  • Experiment with being more direct, vulnerable, or honest than usual
  • Receive feedback about how others experience you
  • Explore patterns that show up in the group and in your outside life
  • Sit with discomfort, uncertainty, or difficult emotions together

This is not a space for advice-giving or problem-solving. It’s a space for presence, curiosity, and genuine encounter.

Who This Is For

This group is especially for you if you:

  • Want to understand yourself more deeply through relationship
  • Are willing to be uncomfortable in service of growth
  • Want to practice showing up more authentically
  • Are curious about existential questions and what it means to live well

How This Matters

Think about this: Who in your life makes you want to flee the moment you’re in a room with them?

These people will continue to trigger you, with or without therapy. In this group, people like that might still appear and trigger you, but this time it will be different. With a facilitator’s guidance, you’ll learn to approach these dynamics differently. This is your playground to test new ways of being, work through what gets activated, and discover what these triggers reveal about how you want to show up.
